Interviews Galore

Most of these funny and awkward interviews were sent along to us by readers in the past couple of days.

This was sent to us by Jackie.

Is there a fund where we can adopt such an adorable junior reporter? Seriously, when he makes that serious face at the camera we were done for. We want him as our adopted son. Move aside Matt Duchene, we have a new golden son to dote on.

This was from Grace.

Not only is Claude Giroux a man above all men in Philadelphia and takes one in the jubilees to score a goal but he goes and talks about it in a post-game interview. When can we get married to him?

This was sent to us by Shanny.

And the awkwardness never ends with Milan Lucic. Did anyone else find it hilariously funny how he is just frenetically talking at the end, like he's finally worked up about this email and he is just upset beyond repair? Does that make us bad people because we did?

We were forced to put this in because Henrik has watched it about a dozen times.

Now that the fun is over, here is the news for the week so far.

- Carey Price is motivated by his poor play and the way that he was perceived last season. That is why he is doing so well. And shockingly, he also leads all goalies in All Star voting even though he is a write-in.

It is stunning what Habs fans can accomplish when they're not destroying couches.

- In "Oh good, cause we were worried" news, Marc Staal will not be punished for his hit on Matt Stajan.

- And in "Oh no they didn't" news, Ilya Kovalchuk and Alex Ovechkin were spotted hamming it up together after the Capitals lost 5-0 to the Devils. It's a huge, giant controversy now because apparently friends aren't allowed to say hi to each other and laugh at something without every person claiming that they don't care about the game. News flash: Not every player is Sidney Crosby who whips himself when he doesn't score a point in a game. /end rant.

And PS about that: "Whether this incident simply blows over or becomes a big deal remains to be seen, but Washington media were openly wondering whether the team's captain should have put himself in a situation where people question his leadership and dedication."

We've been saying that since he was named Captain.

- On the injury front:

Kyle Turris, the little man who could, was placed in IR by the Coyotes then they recalled Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

Guillaume Latendresse will undergo two surgeries to repair a torn labrum and a sports hernia so he will be out for an extended time.

Marc Savard has been cleared for full contact practice.

We know he's excited.
