Can We Call It The 'Nabokov Saga' Yet?

Just wondering.

First, the Detroit Red Wings go to sign him but he has to clear waivers. But Garth Snow, GM of the Islanders, had other ideas of course. He claimed Nabokov.

And now Nabokov is like, "I didn't sign up for this joke of a team" so there are reports that he won't report to the Islanders.

Which is really funny, unless you're an Islander fan of course.

A little old, but we found it making our rounds

Hockey players and kids? Are you trying to kill us?

Can we call if the Year of the Maple Leafs? Not because they're winning but because of all of the drama that they're getting into.

As of right now, Mike Komisarek is a wanted fugitive by the Los Angeles police. It was alleged in a police report by a woman that she was punched in the face by Komisarek. And he made her bleed her own blood.

Haha, yes we find it funny. Ron Wilson is not finding it very funny (in the media at least) "That's all you can do (is shrug)," he said. "It's pretty common in sports or (with) movie stars or whatever. You just have to deal with it, live with it or don't bother reading any of that stuff."

Can you guess who this Blackhawk is?

so freaking cute

Onto other news, the alternate captains have been named to the All Star Game. They are Ryan Kesler (yay!), Martin St. Louis (nice choice), Patrick Kane (what the hell?!) and Mike Green (he still exists?).

Nick Lidstrom will be given Kane and St. Louis. That is a really interesting triangle of hockey. You know that PKane will be asking Jonny in secret text messages about who to pick.

Eric Staal will be given Green and Kesler. Just seems like three random guys hanging out and playing hockey. It will be interesting to see who picks who for this team.

And as if we didn't love Ryan O'Reilly a lot already we have to go and find this
