Chew On This: Wednesday's Readings

Sidney Crosby is helping out the Penguins training staff by being all up in their ears during games. He just can't stay away.

Ken Campbell rants about the non-suspensions in the league and how the disciplinarians are afraid to suspend some players.

Bryan Bickell had wrist surgery and will be in recovery mode for 6-8 weeks. Seemed this injury came out of nowhere.

Mike Grier is beside himself over the Game Seven loss. His glove deflected the first goal into Ryan Miller's net.

The New York Rangers have decided to extend head coach John Tortorella for what is rumored to be three seasons.

Speaking of the Rangers, they are also on the look out for Brad Richards during free agency. This will be an interesting July for that man.

USA Today has their unofficial NHL Awards and they're pretty spot on.

The Leafs and Brian Burke are determined to help women's hockey grow and they have created a task force that will study it.

Despite losing in Game Seven, Jonathan Toews was a dominant force. Are we surprised by that fact? We shouldn't be.

There's been quite a bit of talk about the whining in the play offs this season. And Rory Boylen from the Hockey News doesn't like it.

More NHL Award nominees:

Masterton: Ray Emery, Daymond Langkow and Ian Lapierriere

Selke: Pavel Datsyuk, Ryan Kesler and Jonathan Toews

World Championships News:

Versus will be showing the preliminary games for the United States and the games if they get into the medal rounds.

Sat., April 30: USA vs Austria (10 am EST)
Mon., May 2: USA vs. Norway (10 am EST)
Wed., May 4: USA vs. Sweden (2 pm EST)

And a special analyst for those games will be Zach Parise. Uh, what? We will be there with bells on.

That's really exciting.

The US is without scoring because of so many reasons but we like to blame Canada for stealing all the good players.

TSN will be showing every Canadian game and every other game so if you're lucky enough to be in Canada then watching this will not be a problem. If we find any other website that is showing the games, we will let you guys know.

And here is the complete schedule for the IIHF World Championships.

Schedule.

Don't get too excited now.
